The purpose of art and indeed, the purpose of all creative expression is to offer those who might be considered “crazy” a way to remain part of society. It provides an outlet, a voice, and a place on the periphery where they can thrive, rather than be silenced or institutionalized.
Through art, we bridge the gaps between our inner chaos and the structured world around us. It becomes a sanctuary, a mirror, and a means of connection, for the artist and those who engage with the work. For me, creating is not just about making images; it’s about making space, for reflection, for exploration, for understanding. Photography allows me to navigate the complexities of my metaphysical journey, offering a way to delve into my inner and outer worlds in search of answers to life’s mysteries and a means to express my vision.
